Relay & RPC
Bedrock's /rpc endpoint is a JSON-RPC server that makes Elysium look like a normal chain to wallets.
Elysium's sequencer does not take transactions from the public yet. A signed Elysium transaction reaches the chain by being posted into the chain's inbox contract on HyperEVM; the sequencer picks the inbox up in batches a few seconds apart. The relay does that posting from a sponsor wallet that holds HYPE on HyperEVM.
| Method | Behaviour |
|---|---|
| Reads (eth_call, eth_getLogs, …) | Proxied to Elysium nodes with failover |
eth_sendRawTransaction | Checks the chain id, recovers the sender, allows only Bedrock destinations (launcher, router, hook, launched tokens), posts into the HyperEVM inbox, returns the Elysium hash at once |
eth_getTransactionCount | Counts transactions the relay is still holding so a second transaction gets the right nonce |
eth_getTransactionByHash | Answers for held transactions while they are pending |
eth_getTransactionReceipt | Proxied; the receipt appears once the inbox batch lands |
bedrock_relayStatus | Mode (inbox or sequencer) and the number of held transactions |
Deployments and anything else the relay refuses can be posted into the inbox directly from a wallet holding HYPE on HyperEVM, or sent through a relay run with your own sender on its allow-list. When Elysium opens its sequencer, the relay forwards raw transactions straight to it instead.
